"Sports bring people together โ and finding your squad should be the easy part."
Squad Snag was born out of a frustration that every athlete, coach, and league director knows all too well โ finding people to play with should not be this hard. As an athlete, it felt impossible to find local leagues and pickup games without relying on word of mouth or stumbling across a flyer at the gym. As a coach working remotely, building a team meant posting in Facebook groups and hoping the right people would see it. And as a league director, filling rosters and finding new players felt like a full-time job on top of an already full-time job.
The breaking point came from scrolling through social media โ post after post of people searching for teammates, parents looking for youth leagues for their kids, coaches hunting for players, and leagues struggling to fill spots. The need was clearly there. But the tools were not. Existing social media groups are scattered, hard to search, and often run by volunteers who simply do not have the time or resources to manage them effectively. There was no dedicated place for the sports community to connect. So we built one.
Squad Snag is for every athlete who has ever sat on the sidelines because they could not find a team. For every coach who has worked twice as hard just to find players. For every league director who wants to grow their community but does not know where to look. And for every parent searching for the right place for their kid to play. We built Squad Snag because sports bring people together โ and finding your squad should be the easy part.
